Ophthalmic artery occlusion

An ocular vascular disorder characterized by acute complete obstruction of the ophthalmic artery, a branch of the internal carotid artery, leading to severe ischemia of the globe and associated ocular tissues. It can resemble central retinal artery occlusion with additional choroidal ischemia, and may cause sudden and permanent visual loss.
